English Class Assessment Path

If English is not your first language you will be assessed and start at an appropriate point from the following list of courses:

• Pre ESOL
• Entry level 1
• Entry level 2
• Entry level 3
• Level 1

When you have successfully completed ESOL Level 1 you could enrol on a Level 2 Functional Skills English course which is similar to a GCSE in English.

Any activity that involves spending time, unpaid, doing something that aims to benefit the environment or someone (individuals or groups) other than, or in addition to, close relatives. It can also help you develop the skills and experiences required to gain employment.

You can then join a training course in order to acquire the skills necessary for a range of different job roles.
